Chaplain Kathryn "Katt" McKinney, CEO & Founder of BWOF, INC., brings a powerful and inspiring word of faith to our community. Her sessions are designed to uplift, empower, and guide attendees on their spiritual journey. Through her leadership, she fosters a space for freedom from the past and grace for the future.

Founder, Minister, and Community Advocate

Chaplain Kathryn "Katt" McKinney is an ordained minister, legal executive, and compassionate spiritual caregiver based in Phoenix, Arizona. Driven by a deep commitment to the Gospel and community wellness, Chaplain Katt has spent her life providing spiritual guidance, comfort, and advocacy to individuals navigating complex life challenges. She bridges the gap between the church and the community, bringing Christ-centered healing to hurting spaces.

 

Ministry & Vision

  • Holistic Spiritual Care: Offering prayer, emotional support, and spiritual counseling to heal the whole person.
  • Faith-Driven Advocacy: Leading frontline efforts to bring justice, legal literacy, and resource distribution to families.

  • Black Women of Faith (BWOF Inc.): Founder and CEO of a nonprofit ministry and organization dedicated to sisterhood, mentorship, and community empowerment. 
  • Civic Chaplaincy & Advocacy: Serving on the Maricopa County Judicial Advisory Board and the Arizona Governor's Commission for African American Affairs (Justice Pillar) to be a compassionate, righteous voice in civic spaces.
  • Schools of Justice: A nationwide initiative launched to provide vital legal education and protection through faith-based community networks.

 

Marketplace Ministry

Chaplain Katt firmly believes in marketplace ministry—bringing servant leadership into business. She serves as a Power Executive Director with LegalShield, providing affordable legal protection to everyday families. She is also the Owner and Producer of BLMTV, a media network dedicated to uplifting cultural narratives. 

 

Background & Foundation

Chaplain Katt’s approach to chaplaincy is deeply informed by her frontline experience as a professional nurse. This powerful combination of medical background and pastoral care allows her to minister holistically to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of God's people in times of crisis and everyday life.
